Distribution systems are receiving increasing attention around the world, with considerable investments being poured into them. They are responsible for the service quality and primary losses of electrical systems.
In our group, we have developed an infrastructure with state-of-the-art technology that determines the best feeder configuration and equipment placing to achieve a fast system recovery when faults occur. We also develop routines to best place and size capacitors that allow the voltage profiles to meet the ranges approved to reduce losses.
